My stay at Hu Hotel Memphis was a mixed bag. On one hand, the staff went above and beyond, making me feel welcomed and providing great recommendations. On the other hand, the room was cramped and not as clean as I had hoped, leaving me disappointed. The rooftop bar had stunning views, but it lacked a wider food selection, which was a letdown for me as well.

Rooms

My room felt tiny and was in need of attention. I expected better cleanliness and amenities for the price I paid.
Service
8.0
The staff really made a difference with their friendliness and attentiveness, especially Ms. Eva in the mornings with her warm coffee greetings.
Location
7.0
The hotel is placed conveniently in downtown Memphis, making it easy for me to explore nearby attractions, though the surrounding area did feel a bit unsafe at times.
Dining
5.0
The rooftop bar had great views, but the food options were limited, which was disappointing considering the nice atmosphere.
Facilities

While the rooftop views were a highlight, the overall facilities felt a bit outdated and the cleanliness left something to be desired.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay. While the location was fantastic, putting me a short walk from Beale Street and the river, I was disappointed by certain amenities. The lack of in-room coffee and limited dining options definitely hindered the experience. Overall, it was a decent stay, but not without its flaws. 🌉😐

Rooms
6.0
The room was quaint and clean, featuring good beds and a large bathroom, though it felt a bit dated with old carpets and oddly configured outlets.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They helped with early check-in and were knowledgeable about the area, which enhanced my experience significantly.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was superb, just a few blocks from Beale Street and close to trolley stops. It made exploring Memphis very convenient.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited since the rooftop bar was closed for a private event, and there was no room service. Breakfast offered was small and primarily starches, though reasonably priced.
Facilities

The rooftop bar, which is a highlight, had beautiful views but was pricey, and I was disappointed by the lack of free coffee and water bottles available.

6.2/10

My stay at Hu Hotel Memphis was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, allowing me to easily explore downtown attractions, including the vibrant Beale Street. However, the amenities fell short of my expectations, particularly the dining options and some service aspects. I enjoyed the rooftop views, but the limited food offerings and lack of room service were disappointing. Overall, while I appreciated the clean and comfortable room, the hotel felt like it was trying to be upscale without fully delivering on those promises.

Rooms
6.0
The room was charming and clean, which enhanced my overall experience. However, I was surprised to find that there was only one mirror in the bathroom.
Service
6.0
While the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, the overall service experience was inconsistent. I was disappointed that I had to go to the front desk for fresh towels.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was one of its best features, providing convenient access to many downtown Memphis attractions within walking distance.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were severely lacking; the breakfast was merely a basic continental spread, and the rooftop bar didn’t always have food available. I expected more based on the hotel's marketing.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a cozy ambiance and stylish public areas, but the absence of room service and limited food selection left much to be desired.

I had a mixed experience at Hu Hotel Memphis. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated, providing a charming atmosphere, though I noticed some wear and tear. The rooftop bar had amazing views of the Mississippi River, which I loved, but some aspects of the hotel felt a bit rundown. While the hotel's location is excellent for exploring downtown, like Beale Street, my stay was marred by issues such as limited amenities and inconsistent service.

Rooms

7.2/10

My stay at Hu Hotel Memphis was mixed. I appreciated the beautiful and clean room, which had a cozy charm and a fantastic view, but I was disappointed by some aspects. The breakfast buffet was poorly organized, and I found the menu to be limited, which made mornings a bit hectic. Additionally, the rooftop bar, a highlight for me, closed an hour early, which was a letdown.

Rooms

I enjoyed my clean and charming room with a lovely view, but it lacked some amenities like water and a working TV. Also, I couldn't log into Netflix, which was frustrating.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff were friendly and attentive, yet I encountered issues like the lack of water in the rooms. While they were helpful when I asked for assistance, it was odd that they couldn't provide simple things.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Beale Street and other attractions. However, I experienced some noise disturbances from the dumpster truck early in the morning, which disrupted my sleep.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast options, although inexpensive at $10, were limited and didn't cater well to all guests. I noticed it got busy, and there were often delays in replenishing food. I'd recommend looking for nearby diners for a better breakfast experience.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel has a rooftop bar with stunning views, it seemed a bit worn down and didn't live up to the high prices for drinks. It's a great place to catch the sunset, but the ambiance was lacking.
